Past Dates
This is one of the very best Open Mic's in the Bay Area, usually featuring an impressive array of talent. Every year a new crop of musician land in San Francisco and this is where they tend to be on a Tuesday night. Honored to have been asked to perform as the Feature Artist. Come early, grab a beer, and hear some great music. I go on at 9 PM.
My first time ever at the fun Novato venue, so please come out and/or send your Marinite pals. Thanks!
I LOVE playing this intimate upstairs concert hall, above Red Rock Coffee on the "strip" in Mtn View. Hope all my South Bay friends and fans still remember me--I've been busy moving and creating my own new concert venue/recording studio in Berkeley. The Monkey House will open sometime in mid to late April. Stay tuned!
I've heard wonderful things about this cozy cafe and I finally get a chance to play here. There's a nice little sound system and parking is reported to be reasonably easy. Please email me in advance if you'd like to hear any old favorites. I may even whip out a few COVERS! Yikes.
This will be an enthralling show with a difference: I will play a set in between three very talented up-and-coming writers of new fiction--

This is a great new venue in the Mission and I'm so excited to be sharing a bill with Maurice Tani of the band 77 Eldora. Maurice is a wonderful Americana songwriter with touches of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Townes Van Zandt. I guaranteee you'll be impressed and entertained by him and his music. We will trade off short sets ane possibly even do a song or two together. This promises to be a memorable evening. I believe Maurice will be playing solo, but here's a link to his band: www.myspace.com/77eldeora
Red satin backdrop! Great PA! Listening crowd! And I mean CROWD: Both fans and neighborbood regulars flock to this joint and what we have here ladies and gentlemen is a SCENE. You should be a part of it.
Love, love, love this room!
I'll be sharing the stage with two very different singing divas DAWN OBERG writes smart, funny, jazzy songs about booze and heartbreak, hussies and horticulture, and so much more. I know you'll enjoy the originality and wit of her work.

REBECCA SULLIVAN writes about "feeling awkward, eating too much chocolate after a break-up, or having one of those days when all your problems seem to disappear." Originally from New Zealand, she now lives in the LA area.

KFOG's acclaimed news director Peter Finch has put together a whole stable of storytellers, (plus one songwriter) to chill and amuse you, as well and any kids you tote along. I'll unearth songs like "Green, Green Slime", "Look for Me", "Fear of Little Men" and "A Most Unusual Neighbor". Be very, very afraid!
This will be my return to an absolutely great place to perform. Not only is there a top notch sound system, but they unfurl a red satin backdrop, with LIGHTS, and all of a sudden I feel like I'm performing in the deliciously decadent Berlin of the 1920's. If you live in The City, you should try to make this one!
Please visit the ECFFF website to see the huge list of performers and festvities. Should be lots of fun.
This is one of my favorite places to play in the Bay Area. A quiet "listening room" with a great PA and a sound-person who cares! I'll have some new songs to unveil, and some old ones dusted off. If there's anything you'd like to hear, please email me a week in advance and I'll do my best. ira at iremarlowe dot com. Thanks!
That's right, a whole weekend of Brainy Tunes music at the Discovery Museum in Sausalito!!! Yiiieeeeeeee!!!
This will be my third straight year playing kids' songs, spooky and otherwise, at this wonder Halloween event. Boo!
Tickets are usually available at the door, but to get the best seating, please show up 25 minutes before performance time.
I'm opening for the fabulous T-Sisters -- local gals, actual sisters, known for their amazing harmony. Read more here:

This will be my first Marin performance in YEARS. If you live in those woods, please come out and make this a great show, so I'll be invited back. Jack Irving hosts. Other participants TBA.
This is a fun outdoor concert series, hosting a variety of local acts. I'll play from 11 - 11:45. Kids are welcome and if any are present I'll be sure to play some kids' songs, too. (Don't worry, adults tend to like them even more than their kids do!)
Y
ears ago I had a regular gig at the Union Hotel in Benicia. The man who booked the place was reputed to be a vampire. Now I'm back in this charming coastal town and I hope you'll come check it out. Bring a small crucifix, just in case.
Well, The Secret Identities had to fly off to the North Pole, or the Fortress of Solitude, or wherever it is superheroes go when they bail on gigs. So it looks like it's just me, which is all the better for those of you who want to hear... well, me. Please email me in advance with requests for older songs and I'll do my best to brush up on them.
At 3:30 I'll do a short set along with delightful songstress CLARA BELLINO. also on the bill are bands CHARIO and FRIEND SHIP!
This is one of my favorite places to play in the Bay Area--an intimate listening space with a nice sound system. I'll be sharing the evening with talented Santa Cruz singer/songwriter Amy Obenski.
